I Trulli of Alberobello appointed World Heritage Site dall’Unesco they are one of the most loved attractions of the beautiful Puglia. In the city they are over 1.400 trulli: a real treat for the eyes of tourists and those who love this wonderful fairytale city.
These “sculptures” I'm made of stone without mortar: they are formed by a cylinder with a cone above and i pinnacles.
The trulli have magic symbols on the roofs as it was thought to have a meaning esoteric.
The Trulli of Alberobello, are found in Prov. from Bari, in Valle d'Itria, precisely between the Adriatic Sea and the Ionian Sea.
Alberobello it is a unique landscape in the world. When you approach the Trulli it is like entering a fairy tale…in a fairy world.
Alberobello is made up of many narrow streets and panoramic terraces that give the opportunity to admire an indescribable panorama: beneath them there is a glimpse of an enchanting landscape from which you no longer want to move away.
It would be better to visit them in the low season when there are fewer people around who could ruin the beautiful walks among those enchanting alleys.
Moreover, one of the best times to visit them, would do it all’alba. This will give way to admire even more the show they give. Everyone sleeps but…someone admires the enchanting landscape undisturbed, glazing the eyes of the curious tourist fascinated by such beauty.
Another time to visit the Trulli is the Christmas time…a perfect period in which to be able to attend the Christmas events walking among the trulli: the Christmas atmosphere becomes even more magical!
The visit to “country of the Trulli” it is important to organize them well because there is so much to see besides the trulli themselves: the shops with many odds and ends are a gem that cannot be overlooked because everything they sell is to be admired…touching with your hand will give you the opportunity to “to understand” the beauty of all that Alberobello and its Trulli offer.
Turning around those narrow streets will make you “savor” the true essence of the country.
The main advice is to spend the day between those streets and those shops: stroll calmly to explore the most hidden corners and why not also have lunch in a typical little place.
The best opportunity would be to stay in the evening to sleep in a trullo: wonder of wonders! Most of the tourists leave but someone prefers to rest there: among those stones that seem “hug you” e… you wouldn't want to leave anymore because you entered the real fairy tale.
The Rione Monti it is one of the most beautiful of the narrow streets of Alberobello.
Via Monte Nero it is one of the roads leading to the upper area of the trulli.
Reached the Church of S. Antonio you have to turn around to admire and be amazed by the many trulli that are in front of you.
