Among the initiatives the Festival #UNESCOfestivalexperience, first festival of South UNESCO sites
Wednesday 18 July, at 10, Matera, Room in the Palazzo Lanfranchi Carlo Levi (Piazzetta Giovanni Pascoli, 1), held a press conference to present the UNESCO PROJECT NETWORK SITES. The Project -cofinanziato by the Ministry of Heritage and Activities Cultural- It was developed by the provinces UNESCO South Italy and promoted by UPI (Union of Italian Provinces).
They have been involved 15 Local societies (Province, Metropolitan Cities, Free Municipal Consortia, Common) Southern Italy with a UNESCO site, the Association Provinces Unesco Southern Italy as a sponsor partner and head of the continuation of activities beyond the life of the project.
Interested 14 Unesco sites of the South. Lead the Province of Matera; 4 Provinces involved: Barletta Andria Trani, Caserta, Foggia, Salerno; 6 municipalities: Alberobello, Benevento, Matera, Monte Sant'Angelo, Known, Barumini; 2 the Free Municipal Consortia: Syracuse, Enna; 2 the Metropolitan Cities: Metro City Bari, Metro City Palermo.
The project will be developed over several segments and will promote UNESCO sites of the participating territories, so that they can become a lever for the development of the entire area. The goal is to create a network between the territories of Southern Italy that are home to a UNESCO site, to promote, from the attractiveness of the UNESCO brand, and through the use of new technologies, the set of landscape resources, cultural, food and wine of these territories in a tourism offer unique and integrated.
One of the cornerstones of the project is the #UNESCOfestivalexperience Festival, first festival of South UNESCO sites, which will take place from July to September 2018 UNESCO sites in Basilicata, Campania, Puglia, Sardinia and Sicily.
