Old Town
The Giovanni Leone Nativity Scene Museum was born from the taste of ethno-anthropological research and from careful observations of the urban and landscape morphology of the places. His cognitive commitment was not resolved, indeed, in a pedant plastic reconstruction of lost inhabited, but he interpreted the deepest feelings of the populations who inhabited the Anapo Valley. He reconstructs like this, with the taste of ” capriccio “, the village can of people who were and still breathe in the limestone rocks of the Iblei territories. The Giovanni Leone cribs were placed on the List of Intangible Heritage of Local Interest (REIL) aimed at the identification, inventory, preservation and promotion of Intangible Heritage of the local territorial interest, according to the principles laid down by’ UNESCO. The three cribs can be visited: in Via Padre Giacinto headquarters, 30 – in the historic center of Palazzolo Acreide (behind the Basilica of St. Sebastian), by contacting the Cultural Association “Icaro”.
