Nights in the underground catacomb of Door Ossuna

The return of the evening openings and guided tours of the catacombs of Porta d'Osuna in Palermo! The next event is scheduled for Saturday 22 June, a tour of the underground tunnels of Palermo to the discovery of early Christian history and ancient legends of the city.

The large underground cemetery of Porta d'Ossuna will again be open to the public by way of exception in the evening hours, with the organization of guided visits by archaeologists who run the monument. The appointment is in Corso Alberto Amedeo 110, where you will find the entrance of the impressive archaeological site underground.

Archaeologists will accompany visitors along the galleries and the cubicles of the large underground cemetery, telling the story of early Christianity in Sicily but also the innumerable problems involving the centuries catacomb, helping to create a halo of legend around it, the shelters of the Beati Paoli to the bomb shelters of World War II.
