The festival of Sciusciello is definitely one of the most anticipated summer gastronomic events of the Province of Salerno.
'O Sciusciello is a place typical bakery product known by many (the first bread grandparents of Pellezzano): It is a flattened and thin mixture of water, flour and salt, seasoned with pork fat and pepper, enriched with bacon and cheese, sausages and potatoes or even nutella, baked in wood-fired ovens. The special feature is the flattening of the dough, which, in contact with fire swells, up to bucarsi producing the classic pagoda that in the local dialect is said "or 'sciuscio". The organizers of the festival for years, by now, the tasting alongside moments of music and entertainment with the presence of folk groups.
