Cave Complex of Our Lady of Virtues and San Nicola dei Greci
The exhibition “Salvador Dali – The persistence of Opposites " inaugurate 1 December Matera, with nearly two hundred original works, including three monumental: l’Space Elephant, The Surrealist Piano and Dance of Time, installed in the streets of the old town. The others, between large and small museums sculptures, illustrations, glass works, picture books and furnishings, They are placed in the cave complex of Our Lady of Virtues and San Nicola dei Greci in the heart of the Sassi.
Curated by Benjamin Levi, President of the Dalí Universe, with the support of Marco Franchi general manager of the company, the artistic direction of Roberto Pantè and coordination of international activities Patrizia Minardi, the exhibition is divided into four themes dear to the artist: the weather, Millennial and fleeting, the hard and soft content wrapper, the dialectic between religion and science, the metamorphosis of reality into surreality. Four dichotomies that accompany the visitor in the knowledge of Catalan master.
Completing the display holograms, virtual reality, 3D projections, video mapping, to make the experience even more immersive experience. In a dedicated area it is provided for the screening of a documentary film and the presence of a multimedia lab for educational purposes.
