What are the typical products of Cilento?

The products come from both the sea and the mountains: all delicious that enrich the tables of the area.

  • Soppressed by Joy: a slightly smoked sausage with a piece of lard. E’ typical of the country of Gioi and is the only larded Campania salami;
  • Fichi bianchi: they have a light yellow skin and are a goodness especially when they are dried and covered with chocolate;
  • Cicerale chickpeas: they are smaller than normal and are rich in mineral salts. They are typical of the country of Cicerale from which they took their name;
  • cacioricotta: a sheep's milk cheese, goat and cow that resembles ricotta.

In addition of course to the classics:

  • Olive oil fine straw yellow color: produced by the seculars “Pisci Ottani olive trees“;
  • Excellent Cilento DOC wines e Castel San Lorenzo with the variations of red, White, moscato, rosé and Aglianico. They are wines rich in history and praised by poets and singers.
